God will guide you if you let Him
As I ponder the word GUIDANCE, I see a few things. The ending keeps jumping out at me…….. DANCE.
Following God’s will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn’t flow with the music and everything is uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person allows the other to lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues; perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing lightly in one direction or another. It’s as if two become one with the music. It’s as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
Oh God, please lead and I will follow.
As I look back over the word GUIDANCE, “G” makes me think of God, which is followed “U” and “I”. GOD, YOU, AND I DANCE. Shall we?
As the old song goes, “Where He leads me, I will follow…….” The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want, He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me bedside the still waters……. Be led as you go forward in Him.
